Angel Vizcarra, Passenger Hurt After Crashing Vehicle Into Tree During Police Pursuit on Catawba Avenue at Merrill Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (March 13, 2024) — Angel Vizcarra and his passenger suffered injuries after crashing a car into a tree during a police chase on Catawba Avenue at Merrill Avenue.
 
According to the Fontana Police, the incident happened on March 7 around 9:22 p.m. Upon seeing a car perform several vehicle code violations, a Fontana police officer decided to pull over the driver. However, the driver refused to stop, and a chase unfolded.
 
The driver, 23-year-old Angel Vizcarra, led police north on Catawba Avenue until he reached Merrill Avenue where it crashed into a tree at a dead end.
 
As a result, Vizcarra and his female passenger suffered injuries to their legs. Moments later, paramedics arrived and took both patients to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
Authorities had no other information surrounding this incident.
