23-Year-Old Woman Dies after Car Overturns on 5 Freeway in Lebec

 
LEBEC, CA (March 28, 2022) – Andriena Mia Rea was killed in a rollover accident on 5 Freeway in Lebec on Monday evening, March 21.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:00 p.m. just south of Grapevine Road. According to the CHP, a vehicle might have been racing with another car when the driver lost control and crashed into a hillside. The vehicle then flipped over.
 
As a result, Rea suffered severe injuries and died twenty minutes later at the scene. She was a 23-year-old passenger of the vehicle, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
 
The driver’s condition was not immediately available.
 
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
