Speeding Driver Causes Crash Involving Three Cars in Palm Springs Killing 1 and Seriously Injuring 3

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (March 30, 2024) – Alexa Labrecque was killed in a three-car accident in Palm Springs Wednesday on March 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around noon at the intersection of Indian Canyon Drive and 20th Avenue. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, one vehicle was traveling south on Indian Canyon Drive at a high rate of speed when it collided with two other vehicles.
 
Labrecque suffered fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. She was a 28-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident. It is unclear which car she was in.
 
Three occupants of the same car were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
 
The driver of the speeding vehicle also sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for further medical treatment.
 
Police are still investigating the crash. They asked any witnesses to call investigators at 760-323-8125.
