Adrianna Ojeda, Nathan Corey, and Two More Teens Hurt in Car Crash on 5 Freeway near South Avenue

 
CORNING, CA (March 25, 2022) — 18-year-old Adrianna Dominga Ojeda of Roseville and three others were hurt in a crash on Wednesday, March 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol Red Bluff office, the incident happened on 5 Freeway near South Avenue.
 
Reports said 19-year-old Nathan Corey of Roseville drove a2001 Honda CRV south on the freeway. Then he made an unsafe turning maneuver around 1:55 a.m.
 
Due to the unsafe turn, the car rolled over and crashed with a dirt embankment.
 
Ojeda sustained major injuries in the crash. A medical helicopter airlifted her to Enloe Medical Center in Chico, CHP said.
 
A 15-year-old female passenger also had major injuries. Medics rushed her by ground ambulance to the same hospital.
 
Corey and a 15-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries. Medics brought them to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff.
 
It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
 
Officials continue to investigate the crash.
