15-Year-Old Girl Suffers Several Fractures after Hit by Car in Templeton

 
TEMPLETON, CA (May 29, 2023) – Addyson Nixon was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident in Templeton Thursday evening on May 25.
 
The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on Las Tablas Road near Hawley Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 15-year-old girl from Templeton was walking her dog south across Las Tablas when she was hit by a 2018 Nissan heading westbound on the road.
 
Paramedics immediately responded and rushed Nixon to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with major injuries. She was then flown to a children’s trauma center for treatment of fractures to her neck and hip, along with bleeding/swelling to her brain.
 
The driver of the Nissan, 38-year-old Janet Brown from Templeton, was unharmed. She stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected at this time. An investigation is underway.
 
Loved ones of Nixon created a gofundme account for her medical expenses.
