Abdu Herrera Involved in Pedestrian Accident at Union Valley Parkway at Hummel Drive That Injured Teen

 
ORCUTT, CA (March 25, 2024)Abdu Herrera was involved in a pedestrian accident that left a 16-year-old injured at Union Valley Parkway at Hummel Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 7:40 a.m. Thursday. Due to the sunrise, 31-year-old Abdu Rai Delgado Herrera was unable to see a 16-year-old girl in a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, Herrera’s 1996 Honda Accord struck the teen at the intersection.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived at the scene and took the unidentified victim — a Righetti High School student — to Marian Regional Medical Center and Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera for further treatment. Meanwhile, Herrera who immediately pulled over and waited for authorities cooperated with police investigators who confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs factored into the crash.
