3-Vehicle Accident Including Transit Bus on Rohnert Park Expressway Injures 9 People

 
ROHNERT PARK, CA (April 15, 2022) – Nine people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle accident on Rohnert Park Expressway on Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 10:53 a.m. on April 13 at the intersection with Commerce Boulevard, just off Highway 101. According to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, a Chevrolet pickup truck was heading south on Commerce Boulevard when it drove through the intersection.
 
It then struck a Sonoma County Transit bus and an SUV that were both stopped and waiting to make a left turn onto Rohnert Park Expressway.
 
As a result, a total of nine people were injured.
 
Responding units transported three of the patients to hospitals, one with major injuries, another with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.
 
Emergency crews treated the other six at the scene.
 
Impairment is not considered a factor in the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
