Two Vehicles Collide on Anza Avenue in Torrance Killing Elderly Driver

 
TORRANCE, CA (November 27, 2023) – An 89-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Anza Avenue and Torrance Boulevard in Torrance on Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:50 p.m. on November 24. According to the Torrance Police Department, a 24-year-old man was driving a 2020 Dodge Charger when he collided with a 2003 Toyota Echo, driven by the victim.
 
First responders extricated the woman from her car and provided her life-saving measures.
 
The victim was then taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Charger was unharmed.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
