ENCINITAS, CA (September 13, 2022) — A 79-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Encinitas Boulevard near Beechtree Drive on Monday.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 5:59 a.m. Monday. Upon responding, deputies found a 79-year-old man in the roadway with serious injuries.
 
First Responders subsequently rendered life-saving efforts, but the unidentified victim succumbed to his injuries moments later.
 
Following the crash, investigators interviewed the driver who displayed no signs of intoxication, leading to no arrest.
