78-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Forty Mile Road in Yuba City

 
YUBA CITY, CA (May 17, 2023) — A 78-year-old pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on Forty Mile Road near Highway 65.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol’s Yuba Sutter office, the deadly hit-and-run happened Friday evening. Under unclear circumstances, a possible white Chevrolet Malibu struck a 78-year-old man before fleeing the scene toward Highway 65.
 
On Saturday morning, a caller contacted the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office about a man found dead on the east shoulder of Forty Mile Road. Upon arriving, they pronounced the man deceased at the scene, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
 
Authorities do not have the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
