Elderly Woman Dies after Struck by Truck on East Yale Loop in Irvine

 
IRVINE, CA (November 6, 2022) – A 76-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on East Yale Loop in Irvine on Friday night, November 4.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:15 p.m. near the intersection with Witherspoon. According to the Irvine Police Department, a white Chevrolet Silverado was going southbound on East Yale Loop when it struck the woman, who was crossing over East Yale Loop before the intersection.
 
As a result, the woman suffered significant injuries. Responding paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
