Passenger Killed in Rear-End Crash near E Avenue in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (September 13, 2022) – A 75-year-old man was killed in a rear-end accident near E Avenue and Hercules Street in Hesperia on Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:12 p.m. on September 9. According to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling north on E Avenue. At the same time, a 2016 Kia Soul was heading in the same direction behind the Chevrolet.
 
The Kia rear-ended the Chevrolet, causing the Chevrolet to roll over.
 
As a result of the crash, the elderly male passenger in the Chevrolet suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
 
The condition of the 20-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet from Hesperia was unknown.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics took the 24 year-old-male driver of the Kia from Apple Valley to a local hospital with minor injuries.
