Elderly Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on International Boulevard in East Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (February 6, 2024) – A 73-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on International Boulevard in East Oakland Monday afternoon on February 5.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:49 p.m. at 95th Avenue, in the Elmhurst Park area. According to the Oakland Police Department, the elderly man was apparently crossing the street when he was struck by a light-colored SUV. The driver then took off without stopping.
 
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the hit-and-run suspect.
