1 Airlifted after Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 37 near Highway 121

 
SONOMA, CA (December 22, 2021) – Six people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 37, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 20, at about 10:45 a.m. Due to unknown circumstances, five vehicles collided near the intersection of Highway 37 and Highway 121.
 
An air ambulance transported one victim to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Meanwhile, five other victims were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Emergency responders temporarily closed the highway for more than an hour to make way for clearing operations.
 
CHP believes that speed played a role in the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
