4 Hurt in San Marcos Truck Crash on Highway 78

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (August 3, 2021) — Four people were injured in a truck accident on Highway 78 near Nordahl Road Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash happened around 4:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 16-year-old boy driving a 2016 Dodge Ram veered toward the right and crashed into a guardrail, a tree and a fence. As a result of the impact, the vehicle overturned and ruptured into flames.
 
Luckily, the driver, a 21-year-old woman and two 22-year-old women were able to escape the blaze. Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported all four patients to a hospital for further evaluation.
