3 Rushed to Trauma Center, Truck Overturns, Hits Several Cars off Placentia Avenue in Perris

 
PERRIS, CA (August 3, 2023) — Three people suffered injuries after a truck overturned and crashed off Placentia Avenue onto the 215 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the overturned truck crash happened around 3:35 p.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a driver of a black truck lost control while driving on the Placentia Avenue overpass. Subsequently, the truck hit a guardrail before crashing onto the 215 Freeway where it overturned and hit a red SUV.
 
Soon after, Riverside County Fire Department officials reached the scene and found the pickup truck driver trapped in the wreckage. Due to the patients’ injuries, paramedics took the two SUV occupants and the pickup driver to a regional trauma center for unspecified injuries.
 
Authorities have no other information surrounding the crash or the condition of the victims. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
