Three Pedestrians Suffers Critical Injuries after Struck by Vehicle on Pico Avenue near Port of Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (October 31, 2023) – Three people were critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Pico Avenue near the Port of Long Beach Saturday evening on October 28.
 
The accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Pico Avenue near the 710 Freeway. According to the Long Beach Police Department, a vehicle struck a woman, a man and a 16-year-old boy.
 
Paramedics arrived and took the victims to a hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
 
The man driving the vehicle remained at the scene and was detained. He was also treated at a hospital. His identity and condition were not provided.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
