Two Vehicles Collide on 15 Freeway in Rancho Bernardo Sending 2 Women to Hospital

 
RANCHO BERNARDO, CA (July 1, 2023) – Two women were hospitalized in a two-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway in Rancho Bernardo Wednesday morning on June 28.
 
The accident happened around 8:06 a.m. near Camino del Norte. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 39-year-old woman was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla northbound on the freeway when she failed to stop at the red traffic signal and made a right turn onto 14900 Camino del Norte.
 
At that same time, a 57-year-old woman was driving her 2020 BMW X3 eastbound and entered the intersection on a green light.
 
The Corolla then struck the BMW X3, injuring both drivers.
 
Paramedics transported both women to a local hospital with multiple fractures. Their injuries were non-life-threatening.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
