RIALTO, CA (June 3, 2022) — Two people were injured after a car crashed into a semi-truck on the 210 Freeway near Riverside Avenue on April 30.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened around 9:20 p.m. For unknown reasons, a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a semi-truck trailer, trapping two people inside the pickup.
 
Arriving Rialto Fire officials requested two heavy-lift tow trucks to lift the trailer off the pickup.
 
Following the rescue, authorities freed the two occupants before taking them to a local hospital with moderate to major injuries.
