2 People Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 60 in Beaumont

 
BEAUMONT, CA (April 25, 2022) — Two people died in a wrong-way accident on Highway 60 near Jack Rabbit Trail on Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 3:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a woman was driving eastbound in the highway’s westbound lane at speeds of about 90 miles per hour. Subsequently, her car crashed into an oncoming Chevy Malibu, shuttling two men traveling from Palm Springs to Pico Rivera.
 
Soon after, California Highway Patrol and emergency personnel responded to the scene and found two vehicles, including one that had overturned onto the K-rail of the center median. Upon treating the victims, paramedics confirmed two fatalities, both of which included the male and female drivers of the cars.
 
Two others, including one person who declined medical treatment, sustained minor to major injuries in the crash.
