2 People Dead, 2 Injured in Fiery 2-Car Crash on Highway 132 in Stanislaus County

 
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (December 22, 2023) — Two people died in a fiery head-on accident on Highway 132 near Gates Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol’s Modesto division, the fatal two-car crash happened around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, an Infiniti heading eastbound entered the westbound lane and collided with a Chevy Suburban head-on.
 
As a result, the Infiniti ruptured in flames, and both its occupants died in the crash. Shortly after, paramedics arrived and took the two Chevy occupants to an area hospital for treatment of major non-life-threatening injuries.
 
At the time of the report, officers did not release the victims’ names. However, CHP officers are investigating the details of his crash to see if impairment played a factor.
