2 Injured, Work Truck Hits Fire Truck on 5 Freeway in San Fernando

 
SAN FERNANDO, CA (May 17, 2023) — Two people were injured Tuesday after a work truck crashed into a fire truck on the 5 Freeway near San Fernando Mission Boulevard.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the two-vehicle collision happened around 3:30 p.m. and snarled traffic during the evening rush hour. For an unknown reason, a work truck rear-ended a Los Angeles County Fire Department truck.
 
Moments later, rescue crews responded to render aid to two injured patients. While the work truck sustained major damage, officials did not say if the fire truck sustained any.
