2 Hospitalized After Big Rig, SUV Crash on Highway 101 in Willits

 
WILLITS, CA (December 15, 2023) — Two people were injured in a semi-truck accident on Highway 101 near mile marker 53.4.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Garberville station, the two-vehicle accident happened around 3:51 a.m. on December 14. For unknown reasons, a Suzuki SUV collided with a semi-truck. Upon impact, the SUV veered about 20 feet off the road and the semi-truck went off about 15 feet from the highway while the trailer stayed on the pavement.
 
Soon after, tow companies, paramedics and traffic investigators responded to the scene. Due to their injuries, emergency personnel brought two people, including one with major injuries, to Howard Hospital for care. Meanwhile, two drivers were on the scene removing the disabled vehicles from the crash site.
