Man Ejected from Motorcycle after Chula Vista Rear-End Crash on Highway 905

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (October 23, 2022) – Two people sustained injuries in a rear-end accident on Highway 905, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on October 3, at about 11:05 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a red Mazda sedan hit the rear of a white Suzuki motorcycle.
 
The rider was ejected from his motorcycle and landed on the hood of the Mazda. Then, the Mazda collided with a silver Toyota sedan near Beyer Boulevard.
 
Emergency crews transported the 20-year-old motorcyclist to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a 51-year-old Mazda passenger also needed hospitalization for minor injuries. As per reports, the 48-year-old Mazda driver and the 73-year-old Toyota driver did not sustain injuries.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
