2 Hurt in Head-On Crash on Vasco Road in Brentwood

 
BRENTWOOD, CA (October 27, 2022) — Two people were injured in a head-on accident on Vasco Road near Marsh Creek Road on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:34 p.m. As a driver of a northbound maroon sedan tried passing slow-moving traffic, it subsequently struck a southbound utility truck head-on in the southbound lanes.
 
According to witnesses, the sedan was going at a high rate of speed before the impact, leaving its driver with major injuries.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived and transported the utility truck driver to a hospital with moderate injuries and the sedan driver to another hospital via helicopter.
 
Information related to DUI playing a factor in the accident is unavailable at this time. However, CHP officers will dive into the case more closely to identify other factors that drove the crash.
