TARZANA, CA (October 17, 2022) — Authorities closed several lanes after a car accident on the 101 Freeway at Tampa Avenue on Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened on the westbound side of the 101 Freeway. Under unclear circumstances, two cars crashed, leaving debris littering several lanes.
 
Responding authorities found a red SUV and another vehicle that had collided.
 
As a result of the crash, CHP issued a SigAlert for the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 lanes. No other information was available. However, officials will identify the leading cause of the accident with an investigation.
