2 Hurt in Head-On Crash on Highway 33 in Casitas Springs

 
CASITAS SPRINGS, CA (June 10, 2022) — Two people were injured in a head-on accident on Highway 33 near Casitas Vista Road Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 5:51 a.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a diesel truck and a car crashed near Casitas Vista Road and caused a 30-gallon fuel spill. Soon after, a hazardous material team, Ventura County Fire crews and CHP officers responded to the scene and found two people with injuries, one of whom paramedics brought to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries. Meanwhile, emergency personnel treated another patient at the scene.
 
Fortunately, the HazMat team succeeded in containing the spill.
