2 Hospitalized, Head-On Crash on Highway 118 in Somis

 
SOMIS, CA (May 10, 2023) — Paramedics took two people to a hospital following a head-on accident on Highway 118 near Mesa School Road.
 
According to authorities, the two-vehicle crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. For unknown reasons, a westbound 2007 Lexus crashed into an eastbound Peterbilt big rig in a head-on fashion.
 
Upon responding, firefights had to free the 66-year-old Lexus driver from the vehicle and airlift him to Ventura County Medical Center with serious injuries. The 59-year-old Tarzana man operating the semi-truck suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics took him to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
