2 Hurt in DUI Crash on Hillman Street in Visalia

 
VISALIA, CA (April 4, 2023) — Two people were injured in a DUI accident on Hillman Street at Oakdale Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:20 a.m. Monday. For DUI-related reasons, a 25-year-old driver from Tulare driving a Honda HRV at an unknown speed struck the rear of a Dodge 1500. As a result of the impact, the southbound Dodge overturned and came to a stop on the roadway near Hillman Street.
 
The 20-year-old Dodge driver from Tulare and his 19-year-old passenger suffered major injuries. Paramedics took the pair to Kaweah Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, officers arrested the Honda driver on suspicion of DUI and took the individual to the Tulare County Pre-trial Adult Facility.
 
Police confirmed that alcohol played a role in the accident. No other information on this crash was available.
