2 Hospitalized, ATV and Car Crash at Tahquitz Avenue in Hemet

 
HEMET, CA (January 16, 2024) — Two people suffered critical injuries after an ATV and a car crashed in an accident at Tahquitz Avenue and Devonshire Avenue.
 
According to the Hemet police, the two-vehicle accident happened on December 20 around 12:29 p.m. For an unknown reason, two people onboard a Yamaha ATV failed to stop at the posted stop sign. Subsequently, the ATV collided with the passenger side of a westbound Ford Transit van. Upon impact, both occupants of the ATV were thrown off the vehicle and landed on the road.
 
Moments later, paramedics arrived and took the pair to Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley for treatment of critical injuries. Meanwhile, the uninjured Ford van driver stayed on site and cooperated with police investigators.
