2 Hurt After 2 Semi-Trucks Collide on 5 Freeway in Castaic

 
CASTAIC, CA (March 26, 2024) — Two people suffered injuries after 2 big rigs crashed on the 5 Freeway near Highway 126 on Sunday.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the truck accident happened around 9:37 p.m. on the 5 South Freeway. For an unknown reason, two semi-trucks collided near the upper crossover. As a result, lumber was scattered throughout the road.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported one patient to a hospital and tended to another victim at the scene before releasing the individual.
 
Due to the crash, authorities issued a SigAlert for the No. 3 and 4 lanes of the southbound interstate into Monday morning.

Watch out for larger vehicles, such as semi-trucks and those hauling a heavy load. Switch lanes if possible and give them more room. These vehicles are not as agile as passenger vehicles and require more time and space due to their size.
