Two Cars Collide on Highway 101 in SLO Injures Both Drivers

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (September 14, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized in a two-car accident on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo Friday afternoon on September 8.
 
The accident happened around 2:36 p.m. at the base of the Cuesta Grade near Reservoir Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicles involved were a black Subaru Outback and a Dodge Charger. One of them was attempting to turn southbound from Reservoir Canyon Road and did not see an oncoming vehicle approaching from the northbound lanes.
 
The vehicles collided with a side impact. Both drivers were hurt in the crash, one of them suffered major injuries.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
