2 Dead, 4-Car Accident at 1st Street and Main Street [El Centro, CA]

2 Killed in 4-Vehicle Crash at 1st Street in El Centro

 
EL CENTRO, CA (February 7, 2025) — Two people died in a 4-car accident at 1st Street and Main Street.
 
According to the El Centro Police Department, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday. Detectives believe two of the four vehicles were possibly illegally street racing at the time of the crash. Under unclear circumstances, two other vehicles became involved.
 
Subsequently, authorities and paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed one driver deceased on arrival. Paramedics took another driver to El Centro Regional Medical Center where that individual succumbed to his or her injuries.
 
Following an investigation, officers booked one other driver into Imperial County Jail.
 
At this time, El Centro Police officers are investigating the details leading to the crash. If anyone has more information, call their police department.
