Speeding Driver Causes Crash on 15 Freeway in Mountain Pass
MOUNTAIN PASS, CA (October 21, 2023) – Two people were airlifted in a two-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway in Mountain Pass Wednesday afternoon on October 18.
The accident happened just after 1:00 p.m. along the northbound 15 Freeway, about two miles after the Halloran Springs Road exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a brown Dodge Charger was speeding and driving recklessly when it collided with a red Honda Civic.
The Honda rolled over from the impact and landed in the center divider.
Rescue crew rendered aid to the people involved in the crash and requested multiple medical helicopters to transport the injured patients.
A 5-year-old child was bleeding and a man was unconscious as a result of the crash. Both were airlifted to a local trauma hospital in unknown conditions.
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
