17-Year-Old Struck, Killed by Van on Western Avenue in Buena Park

 
BUENA PARK, CA (April 13, 2022) — A 17-year-old girl was hit and killed by a car on Western Avenue at Fillmore Drive, early Tuesday.
 
According to Buena Park police officers, the deadly pedestrian accident occurred around 6:05 a.m. The 17-year-old who was standing with her mother reportedly tried to reach for her cat.
 
As a result, an oncoming driver operating a van struck the girl, who suffered fatal injuries moments later.
 
Following the accident, the driver pulled over and waited for authorities.
