Suspect in Armed Robbery Attempt Involved in Hit-and-Run Accident on Hill Avenue in Pasadena

 
PASADENA, CA (August 4, 2021) – Police arrested a 17-year-old boy after a hit-and-run accident on Hill Avenue on July 30.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Mountain Street after 9:26 AM.
 
Based on reports, the boy allegedly tried to hold up a 41-year-old Valley Glen man in a Starbucks parking lot and accused him of cutting him off in traffic. The teen pulled a handgun from his waistband and demanded money from the man. Then, the man walked away and the teen left the scene in a red Honda sedan.
 
A short time later, reports came about a hit-and-run crash at Hill Avenue.
 
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the crash. However, the responding officer arrested the teenage boy while trying to ride a skateboard away from the crash.
 
At this point, the Pasadena Police is still investigating this accident on Hill Avenue.
