Distracted Driver Hits 11th Grader on Dos Palmas Road in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 22, 2023) – A 16-year-old student was hospitalized in a pedestrian accident at Dos Palmas Road and Princeton Drive in Victorville on Tuesday morning.
 
Around 8:04 a.m. on January 17, Tyler was walking to school with his younger brother and friend. While he was at the corner of the road, a vehicle driven by a distracted driver struck him.
 
Several Good Samaritans stopped to assist Tyler. Firefighters arrived soon after and took Tyler to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
The victim was an 11th grader at a local Victorville school.
 
The Victorville Police Department is handling the investigation.
