15-Year-Old Robert Rias, 14-Year-Old Domonic Adams Jr., 15-Year-Old Omar Pitts Die in Police Chase Crash near Valley Boulevard and Cypress Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (February 6, 2024) — Robert Rias and two other teens died in a police chase crash near Valley Boulevard and Cypress Avenue.
 
According to the Fontana Police Department, the fatal accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. While seeing a white Nissan Sentra committing a vehicle code violation, an officer tried to pull the driver over.
 
However, the driver did not yield, and a brief chase unfolded. Subsequently, the Nissan driver led officers on a chase with speeds surpassing 100 mph until the car lost control and hit a police vehicle responding to the pursuit.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and found four people in the Nissan, including 15-year-old Rias and 14-year-old Domonic Adams Jr.; both passed away at the scene.
 
After evaluating 15-year-old Omar Pitts, paramedics ushered him to a hospital where he died, as well. At this time, the unidentified driver remains hospitalized, along with two police officers who suffered serious injuries.
 
At this time, the San Bernardino Sheriff Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
