Teen Suffers Critical Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Drive on Elk Grove Florin Road

 
VINEYARD, CA (March 14, 2022) – A 14-year-old male suffered critical injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Elk Grove Florin Road in the Vineyard neighborhood on Friday afternoon.
 
The crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. on March 11 just south of Brittany Park. According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, a vehicle struck the boy near the green belt.
 
After the crash, the involved driver did not stop to render aid.
 
Emergency crews arrived soon after and rushed the boy to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The victim is a student in the Elk Grove Unified School District.
 
At this time, authorities are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
