1 Person Dies in Fresno County Car Crash on Highway 41

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (January 24, 2022) — One person died in a 2-car accident on Highway 41 near Floral Avenue on Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a black minivan crossing the highway at the 2-way intersection collided with an oncoming truck heading northbound. The truck slammed into the passenger side of the van.
 
As a result, one person inside the van died.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and brought three people with major injuries to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment. Meanwhile, authorities investigated the scene to determine what had happened.
 
At this time, the ultimate cause of the crash requires further examination. Therefore, anyone with additional insight should contact the CHP.
