1 Killed, Child Critically Injured in Two-Car Accident on Highway 138 near Cajon Boulevard [Phelan, CA]

Two-Car Accident on Highway 138 in Phelan Kills One and Leaves Child in Critical Condition

 
PHELAN, CA (November 28, 2022) – One person died and a child suffered critical injuries after a two-car accident on Highway 138 in Phelan Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:06 a.m. on November 25, just between Cajon Boulevard and Lone Pine Canyon Road. According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, a gold 2000 Nissan Altima and white Toyota Sequoia collided for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters responded and located both cars with major damage from the crash.
 
One person inside the Altima suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, a helicopter transported one child to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The driver of the Sequoia was later transported by ground ambulance as a precaution.
 
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
