Three Motorcycles and Vehicle Collide on Highway 78 in Borrego Springs Killing One Person

 
BORREGO SPRINGS, CA (March 24, 2024) – One person died and six other people were injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 78 in Borrego Springs Friday evening on March 22.
 
The accident happened around 8:40 p.m. near Borrego Springs Road. According to Cal Fire San Diego, at least three motorcycles and a vehicle collided for unknown reasons.
 
One adult suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Another adult was airlifted to a hospital with moderate injuries. A juvenile was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
Four other people who were also hurt in the crash were treated at the scene.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
