Rollover Crash Involving Flatbed Truck on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino Kills 1 and Injures 5 Others

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 30, 2023) – One person died and five others were injured, including two children, after a rollover crash on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:11 a.m. on May 28, just south of University Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car and a flatbed truck collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn.
 
The crash crushed the entire front of the car and shattered its windshield. Pallets on the flatbed truck had spilled over across the side of the road. Three people were inside the truck.
 
First responders found seven victims involved in the crash, one of them died at the scene.
 
Six people, including a 3-month-old child, were transported to a nearby hospital. Three people suffered major injuries and the other three victims had minor injuries.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
