Distracted Driver Causes Deadly Four-Vehicle Crash on Highway 65 in Roseville
ROSEVILLE, CA (April 11, 2023) – One person died and two other people were injured in a four-car accident on Highway 65 in Roseville Saturday evening.
The fatal accident happened around 6:36 p.m. on April 8. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man driving a Chevrolet Silverado was heading southbound when he looked down to grab something. When he looked up, he was unable to avoid crashing into the back of a Chevrolet Spark.
The Chevrolet Spark then crashed into a Lexus, which then rear-ended another Chevrolet truck.
The unidentified driver of the Chevrolet Spark died at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and the driver of the Silverado has a possible concussion.
Officials said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
