Car Plunges 200 Feet Off Highway 166 in Santa Barbara Killing 1 and Critically Injures Another

 
SANTA BARBARA, CA (April 10, 2023) – One person was killed and another one was critically injured after a traffic accident on Highway 166 in Santa Barbara Friday morning on April 7.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:13 a.m. near Rockfront Ranch. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a vehicle fell 200 feet from the roadway in unclear circumstances.
 
First responders found the vehicle below a bridge. They pronouced one person dead at the scene.
 
Another person was critically injured and was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
