SANTA BARBARA, CA (May 27, 2022) — One person was injured in a head-on accident on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road on Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident occurred around 1:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a Honda minivan collided, leaving one person with minor injuries.
 
Following the accident, one person reportedly tried to leave the scene on foot, but CHP officers were able to detain the individual. According to witnesses, one of the drivers was driving recklessly before the accident. However, authorities have not confirmed which car.
 
Due to the accident, crews had to close both lanes of the highway with alternating one-way traffic.
