1 Hospitalized, Driver Sought in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash near Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (December 8, 2022) — One person suffered an injury, and police are seeking the driver involved in a hit-and-run bicycle accident near Los Osos Valley Road and Madonna Road.
 
According to San Luis Obispo police, the hit-and-run accident happened around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. San Luis Obispo Fire officials found a bicyclist with non-life-threatening injuries on the road and brought the individual to a hospital for care.
 
It appears the driver briefly stopped after pulling over at a Shell gas station. Although, after confronting the bicyclist, the driver — described as a woman between the ages of 20 to 30 with long wavy, light brown hair — re-entered the vehicle and left.
 
According to police, she was wearing a cast on one foot and a brown Ugg-type boot on the other. She reportedly fled westbound on Los Osos Valley Road in a newer gray Toyota 4Runner SUV.
