Lanes Closed after Multi-Vehicle Accident on 215 Freeway near Cactus Avenue in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 3, 2022) – One person needed hospitalization following a multi-vehicle accident on 215 Freeway on Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 2 at about 10:45 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a Nissan Pathfinder SUV, a van, and a Toyota sedan collided near Cactus Avenue.
 
Emergency crews later transported one driver to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Responders temporarily closed all lanes to make way for clearing operations and an investigation. At 11:45 a.m. all lanes were reopened.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
