BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 10, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured following a hit-and-run collision on South Chester Avenue, Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 4, at about 9:45 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit the pedestrian near the area of South Chester Avenue and South M Street.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The condition of the victim remains undisclosed.
 
As per reports, the vehicle involved in the collision immediately left the scene and did not render aid to the victim.
 
CHP continues to investigate the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
