Fatal Solo-Car Crash on 10 Freeway in Montclair

 
MONTCLAIR, CA (June 14, 2022) — One person died in a solo-car accident on the 10 Freeway near Monte Vista Avenue on Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle accident happened around 12:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 24-year-old driving a 2007 Honda with three passengers veered to the right at an undetermined speed.
 
Subsequently, the Honda left the road, toward the right shoulder, before it struck a concrete barrier.
 
Due to the impact, one passenger was ejected from the Honda.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel reached the scene and confirmed one person deceased.
 
At this time, the conditions of the other occupants and the leading cause of the crash are unavailable. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm what had happened.
